Innovative application of bacterial toxins in the intensification of protein production
In this project, we aim to engineer optimized variants of bacterial toxins that function as potent translational enhancers for recombinant protein overproduction. Following optimization, these engineered toxins will be implemented as innovative yield-enhancing tools in industrial biotechnological processes.
The project is carried out in collaboration with University of Rennes and Acteryon sp. z o.o. (commercial partner).
The funding was obtained within the FIRST TEAM programme of the Foundation for Polish Science co-financed by the European Union under the FENG Programme (Fundusze Europejskie dla Nowoczesnej Gospodarki; The European Funds for Smart Economy 2021-2027).
